When creating a password for your account, bear in mind:
- Your password should be easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess.
- Your MyMahotsav password should be different to the passwords you use to log in to other accounts, such as your email or bank account.
- Longer passwords are usually more secure.
- Your password should not be your email address, phone number, date of birth or name.
- When choosing a password on MyMahotsav, there is a ‘strength bar’, which will notify you if your password is weak or strong.
If you see a message letting you know that the password you have entered isn’t strong enough, try mixing uppercase and lowercase letters. You can also make the password more complex by making it longer with a phrase or series of words that you can easily remember, but no one else knows.
